How to Connect HubSpot to Writelio

Publish blog posts to HubSpot CMS with a private app token.

Connect HubSpot in 4 steps

Create a private app in HubSpot

In HubSpot → Settings → Integrations → Private Apps, click Create a private app, name it Writelio, and under Scopes enable the content / CMS blog scopes.

Copy the access token

Click Create app, then copy the access token (starts with pat-).

Add the connection in Writelio

In Integrations, open the HubSpot card → Configure, paste the Private App Token, and click Save.

Test & publish

In the editor, open Share & Publish → HubSpot, click Test, then Publish. The post is created in your HubSpot blog (as a draft you can review and schedule).

Troubleshooting

“Missing scopes” error
Edit the private app and enable the content / CMS blog scopes, then copy the regenerated token.
Token invalid
Private app tokens start with pat-. Make sure you copied the full token and that the app is active.
Post not visible
HubSpot posts are created as drafts. Open your HubSpot blog, review, and publish or schedule from there.
