How to Connect Framer to Writelio
Send articles into a Framer CMS Collection from the editor.
Connect Writelio to Framer and publish articles straight into a Framer CMS Collection, so your blog stays in Framer with no copy-paste. Connection uses a Framer CMS API token and your target Collection ID.
Before you start
- A Framer project with a CMS Collection for blog posts.
- CMS access enabled for the project (API token).
- The Collection ID of the Collection you want to publish into.
What you’ll need from Framer
Connect Framer in 4 steps
In your Framer project, open the CMS API settings, enable API access, and copy the API token and the Collection ID of your blog Collection.
In Integrations, open the Framer card → Configure, paste the API Token and CMS Collection ID, and click Save.
In the editor, open Share & Publish → Framer and click Test to confirm Writelio can reach your Collection.
Click Publish to create a new item in your Framer CMS Collection with the article content and metadata. Publish it in Framer when you are ready to go live.
What gets published
Publishing to Framer creates a CMS item containing:
- Title & slug from your article.
- Article body mapped into your Collection’s content field.
- Meta description and cover image where your Collection has matching fields.
Style the Collection template once in Framer and every published article inherits your design automatically.
